Job Summary:

The Journeyman Technician role is an important role at the company as it completes the repairs and services that the sales team sells. In addition to producing the work sold on customer vehicles, this role also performs the vital task of inspecting vehicles to find repairs and services that are needed on a customer’s vehicles which the sales team will sell to customers. This role operates under the direction of the Master Technician. This role has excellent growth potential under the guidance of CR Auto Care’s exceptional master technicians.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Accurately completing services and repairs on customer’s vehicles:
• Technicians are expected to be highly proficient in their craft and are expected to complete services and repairs with excellence, integrity, precision, and extreme care.
• Partner with office staff to deliver on company sales goals with integrity:
• Technicians are expected to inspect each vehicle and quote any repairs and services needed to the Service Advisor who will then sell the work to customers.
• At times, technicians will be asked to work directly with customers to explain the condition of the vehicle and answer questions the customer may have about their needed services or repairs.
• Quality Control:
• Perform quality control for fellow technicians
• Occasional light cleaning of vehicles, all in accordance with company procedures.
• Cleaning & Prep:
• Assist in keeping the shop clean, safe, free of debris and other hazards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• 35-40 per week expected

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair
• Proficient with related computer diagnostic equipment and software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues
• Ability to read service and repair manuals
• Ability to read work orders
• Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion
• Ability to sell or influence sale of products

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2 years of related experience required; 4+ years preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
• Must have enough vision to inspect repair work

Pay options:

TBD by experience and other relevant factors; $30 - $38 per hour
